How Can I Make My Apple Pie Taste Good?

Question

Yesterday i asked about my nasting tasting pie. I got some good info however now i am asking how i can get my pie to taste good so my boyfriend will eat it. Like i said yesterday, he always throw up after he eats it. I tried putting caramel on it, ice cream, cherries, he says it tastes like salt. I make sure i always wash my apples first. Any ideas? Or is he just being a pest because he loves me?

i outta try getting a recipe from my mother. Or just change bf's

Just get a good simple recipie. As a 25 year old man who had never really baked a whole lot, I made apple pies for a work picnic that were such a crowd pleaser taht my boss and his buddy ate 1/2 of one of them and they were like 14" pies!. I got the recipie from the front of the actual ceramic dish itself. It was unbelievably simple too! I purchased the premade frozen crust..then I swear there was not much more than apples and sugar.

Just get the freshest apples you can get and use the more tart baking apples...the sugar you add will balance the taste. If you can get some fresh off of the tree it would be even better than the ones I got from the store. I just recently went apple picking with my kids and if you ever eat a fresh just ripened apple right off of the tree it is truly amazing.

Fresh simple ingredients...simple recipie is all you need for pies.
