-Just make sure you have some pens/pencils and some paper.
-Also, make sure to get to the campus early to check it out, and if you have friends who are attending the same school, call them up and agree on a place to meet up before you go in.
-Grades are important. Don't ignore them because you think that they don't matter...they do!! High school is the pre-cursor to college and the real world. So try hard and get good grades.
-Just be polite and charming and you'll do fine!!
-Make good friends with all of your teachers and the deans!!
-Get involved!!! The best thing about high school is looking back at how much you did and how much you stood out!! Join any club that you like, and make it fun!!

Make sure you meet up with your friends, they'll be your support system in the beginning; and hopefully at the end as well. You may get heckled a bit by the upperclassment (nothing horrible), they harrassed us outside our homeroom on my first day. It's sorta like an initiation for them. You will also need to make sure that you focus on your schooling if you plan on going to college. Too many people think they can slack and still get into a good school. The fact is you could get scholarships and lots of money/opportunity by making an effort. Lastly, don't let the peer pressure get you down. I know that's easier said than done now that I'm outta high school, but once you're out of school you're not 'cool' anymore. It won't matter in the real world. Everyone grows up and noone cares that you were top cheerleader, hot couple, most stylish, etc. Hope this helps you out. =)
