I do not understand everything and barely understand most of it. I have decided that I will never know these things this side of Heaven. As for Christ, I would not have it any other way.
Peace Be With You,

I was raised Roman Catholic, taught by nuns and Jesuits, and about as indoctrinated into any faith as anybody can possibly be. I started thinking for myself a little late in life (i.e., my 20s), but I began to read Church history more and more. I came to understand that Christian teachings have shifted over time, that believing "we" were right and everybody else was wrong is insane, and that perhaps the thing missing from Christianity is in fact Christ. I'm pretty convinced that were he to be born into this world right now, he'd have NOTHING to do with any of the churches that bear his name. NOTHING whatsoever. People who take the Bible literally, word-for-word, are no better than the people in the Middle East, Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan (among other places) who take the Koran literally.
Christians who think the Bible contains the actual words of Christ drive me insane because they refuse to allow that the Bible is a translated collection of many documents from many different places and times, and written originally in many different languages, some without sources, some with no history at all of where they come from or who wrote them. These Christians also refuse to allow for possible errors in translation; for example: when Jesus "said" "I am the Way and the Life," what he actually might have said is "Do what I'm telling you how to do, and you'll find peace in this life."
There's no way to know WHAT Jesus said. So threatening other people with Hellfire and damnation, famine, plague, and death for not believing is despicable, especially when the threatened are those with less resources and less access to education. Proselytizing is evil, and "spreading the good news" is responsible for wiping out entire civilizations since the founding of Christianity 2,000 years ago.
I believe a person should be able to believe as s/he wants and practice those beliefs in peace and freedom. I also believe everybody else has the right to be free of other people's beliefs. I should not have to worry that I'm going to be blown up someday because I do not agree with certain Muslims and their interpretation of the Koran. By the same token, I should not be told by Christians that I'm going to burn in hell because I'm a witch. It's insane, it's offensive, and it's patronizing beyond belief.
I don't push my beliefs on anybody else, and I have no problem with Christians, Muslims, Jews, or any of the Pagans I know as long as they don't push their beliefs on me. None of the Pagans do, actually. Or the Jews. It's just the other two that do the pushing--in my experience, that is.

Christianity is essentially a criminal business enterprise... in fact, it is the world's longest running and most successful Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) scam. The product they are selling is 'salvation'... and the 'pay plan' doesn't kick in until after you're dead. What a racket! FORTUNATELY, it only works on those who are gullible enough, and sufficiently lacking in critical thinking skills, to fall for it. UNfortunately, THAT accounts for about 75% of the population of the USA. (There are a lot more people who DON'T know how to think properly than there are people who DO know how to think properly.) That is why there are a lot more religious people in the USA than there are 'Free-thinkers'... including Atheists. Also, Christians are generally too dense to realize that proselytizing (spreading the 'good news') is a key element of the Christian MLM MARKETING PLAN, which was instituted after Christianity lost the political power that had previously allowed them to simply torture and kill anybody who did not comply. Now, they attempt to just pester people to death, through persistent obliviousness and obnoxiousness. If you stop to think about it, you will realize that Christians are very much like the Borg, on Star Trek Next Generation: "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." I would not be surprised to learn that thoughts of Christianity provided the 'creative spark' for the Borg concept.
Interestingly, statistics on supernatural beliefs count the USA on a par with backward, developing Third World nations, rather than among modern, advanced industrial powers.

I don't understand how you have been a Christian all your life. To be a Christian you must put your faith in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for you. He died for your sins. He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. A person must come to a age that they know they have sinned against God and then they need somebody to take care of that sin. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Romans 4: 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

I think it is away for people to see light in the darkness, as is all religion. I think it has as much a chance of being right about everything as any other religion, and that the world will keep spinning no matter who tells who that their religion is the only right one. Not saying you are, because you're not. I think that whatever you believe, not just think about but live and breathe and see, that is true for you. God and Jesus are real if you believe they are, and nothing anyone says should be able to change that.

The bible says the truth and the churches teaches religion. I believe some of our churches are misleading people to their doom. I read the bible daily with my own study of it and I have repented and been saved. When I went to church it was usually a gossip session and I didn't learn anything from the church, I would only carry some money on me because this church took up about 5 different offering, money then i found out that the minister that was married was going to bed with my sister, I left and i left for good,so religion has mislead mankind

I just couldnt care less about chritianity. Why do people go on about it? is it coz you are feeling a little insecure and need Jesus as a prop?
I was in a bar in Thailand, a Bhudist country and an American was handling out messages in Thai and English a bout christ. I was disgusted.. I have never met happier people than the Thai. They dont have to fear the devil, hell and damnation and all that snot..
If you are so convinced about its truthfulness then good for you.
I just cannt see any thing in it. It doesnt make sense to me.

I've always admired people who have been Christians their whole life. I came to Christ later, was 30 and out of alot of abusive home life, and 15 years of drugs. I love the Lord! I love Christianity! Jesus has changed my life, He did things for me that I could not do myself, I know He is alive and working!
I never knew peace until I was saved, and He has never left me. I still remember what it was like to be without the peace and without Him, I love Him and am so grateful for other Christians. When I was ready to get saved, I called some Christians that I knew, they had witnessed to me and loved me no matter how I was. This is why it's soooo important to just love people and share your life. I'm so grateful..........

Don't want anything to do with it. I just wish you guys would respect that instead of coming to my school passing out bibles and posting pictures of dead fetuses.
Christians destroyed many a tribe, clan, civilization . . . bit by bit they are desperately trying to monopolize a diverse and unique worldviews in which people live. I can never forgive them for that, or those who turn a blind eye to the past and just keep goingon with the very same thing that has destroyed--no, exterminated--the very things that they say tehy want to protect.
Hypocrites, all of them.

Dears: It is not what I think, but know in my spirit, that indeed He is Salvation for all who sincerely ask. We need only look to the Word to find out what the Lord says about the world. We are not a part of it anymore....and those who are still of the 'world' hate us for that. We commonly compare worldly wisdom to the Lord's and find it to be the 'opposite'.....crazy?...yes!
