I have met a man online and he lives across the country from me. He's buying a ticket to fly out and visit me for a weekend. Have any of you done this before? I am very big on safety. He will be meeting my parents somewhere before we go out and he will be staying at a hotel during his visit. Do things like this ever turn out well? What should we do while he is here? Should I take him out sightseeing? Any tips or advice? Thanks!

Sightseeing will be fine, especially if there's something for him to see where you live that he's never seen before. Try to bring someone (like your parents) along with you. It's nice that you've found someone you like, but by all means be careful. And also, you should note that one of you will have to move eventually if the relationship is to work. Good luck!

Not sure. I am sure there is a possibility that things do turn out well. I personally dont have any good stories to tell you. The only advice I can give is to just be cautious. The part of him meeting your parents is a great idea. Not knocking your sense of judgement here... but sometimes our own senses of judgements are impaired at certain times. With your parents to help you on this.. is a good thing. Take their advice whatever it may be. Good Luck and let me know how it turns out. (curiosity)

this can be dangurs becasue u dont really no this guy . one thing u have 2 promise me is that u dont tell him any personal information intill you no him inside out!!!! you should take him sighseeing if he is from across the country i think he is going to want to see what ur town looks like !
