He's been in the news lately on tax evasion... he's clearly psychotic. I don't see how he could have ever been a science teacher as he claims with his gross misunderstanding of science itself.

Here's an actual quote from his seminar:

"People say the Bible's handed down generation after generation oh you don't know what you're talking about first of all, God inspired it and he preserved it. Secondly its all, the book of Genesis was written by ten eye-witnesses there are ten different authors to Genesis."

What?! i don't doubt that there could have been 10 different authors to Genesis but he calls them "eye-witnesses." Forgive me if i'm mistaken but wouldn't the first chapter at a minimum be pure speculation? How can there be an eye-witness before there is anyone to witness anything? There is a much deeper problem with that statement but i have niether the time nor the energy to go any further.

Have at it.

The man is a charlatan, and quite probably a crook (I shall wait for the outcome of the multiple federal cases against him before actually stating that he is a crook).

What is interesting is that creationists venerate his "opinion" on science over that of the ENTIRE National Academy of Sciences, not one member of whom believes in creationism or intelligent design.

Now there's selective quoting of the scientific literature for you.

Hovind is a fundamental Independent KJV only Baptist. He is stubborn, and proud. His tax evasion charges may be beat in court. However it was very dumb the way he went about it. None one is perfect-and he certainly is not.

He is way out in right field on lots of issues. His respect for the government rules leaves a lot to be desired. But he is straight as an arrow. He may be narrow minded-but he is straight.

His science is sound. No evolutionist (scientist or science professor) will dare debate him. He has shamed all so far. You may not believe his statements about evolution-but you can not refute him on anything. If you want to take cheap shots at him on YA when he is not here to keep you honest-then you will look good.

Kent Hovind has always been a whack-job. But he sure knows how to get publicity, doesn't he?

On a side note, Genesis probably does have about seven to ten authors, but they weren't eye-witnesses, of course, they were just different versions of the Creation story that were later attributed to Moses.

Yes I never really trusted Kent Hovind, but I really dont think the first chapter of Genesis is speculation. I am more on the side of inspiration or revelation.

Why do you perceive him as such? Because:

1. You don't like what he has to say and because you can't refute it logically, you resort to childish name-calling.

2. You will do anything to try to make yourself believe that God really doesn't exist.

3. You know that if you were man enough to talk to him yourself about these issues (which obviously you are not), he would answer every question and you wouldn't have a leg to stand on in defense.

That's what religion does to some people. A pathetic waste of a brain.

Stop using logic please, this is clearly the wrong section. Take your truthiness to the science section.
