I was in a wedding last week and I wore my hair up. This girl in the wedding party really liked the way my hair came out. She also said she thought I look much better with it up then down. And she couldn't believe how good I looked with it up. Was she insulting me. Trying to say I usually don't look very good. She said with my hair up I looked sophisticated. She also through out I looked like a victorian model. I think mostly because of the way the hair was. But do you think this was a left handed compliment?

I don't think so, it does not sound like an insult to me. Some people really do look better with their hair up and vice versa. She was paying you a compliment and maybe even suggesting that you wear it like that more often. If a lady gives you a compliment like that, it may be extremely appealing to the guys.:)

I don't think it is a negative compliment. You should confident on yourself and take it easy about other people compliment. Look at the bright side. Sometimes, we can't see ourselves clearly, but we can see ourselves from other's eyes. She is just say a good thing about your beautiful, so I think you should take it as a positive compliment.

Enjoy life.
