I worked ER and, yes, we did have plastic surgeons on call for emergenies...such as emergency repairs due to dog bites, hand tendon repairs, etc. As far as emergency plastic surgeons for "elective" procedures (breast augmentation, nose jobs, etc)...no.

Are there specialties in plastic surgery? Yes, of course. Some of them are:
