There are 2 ways to whiten your teeth profesionally. Take home trays and in office whitening. My office charges $495.00 for the take home. In office is $595.00. We use the Zoom system like on extreme makeover and I personally have not noticed an extreme change in the shade. Only a couple of shades. I have actually seen teeth whiten better with the trays. This is usually done for a week or so at a time. You can touch it up monthly if you want. Smoking, coffee, tea and aging are all things that can cause teeth to stain. This will cause the results not to last as long but whitening can last for months though. Insurance does not cover either process though because it is an elective, cosmetic procedure.

When I was about 15 I had it done... I don't remember why, but insurance must have covered some of it because there is no way my parents would have allowed me to get it done if not. The dentist first makes a plaster mold of your teeth, that is kind of uncomfortable because you have to hold your mouth open for like an hour or so... then when he takes it off, it feels like all your teeth are coming out. Not very comfortable. He makes this plastic "mouthguard" that you wear every night after squeezing this whitening gel inside it. It tastes horrible!!!! Oh my word. It worked, but they didn't stay white. My teeth we like shiny, pearly white, and ten yrs later after a small addiction to coffee, they are not so white. Yeah, so maybe call 1 800 dentist for more info. that's what i got. Namaste.

If you've got attempted the whitestrips over-the-counter and they didn't whiten your enamel sufficient then Yes it's going to be valued at it. I have used whitestrips and legit trays w/ legit whitener that you are taking dwelling. They are so much more potent and whiten so much higher. Zoom was once a three-five take dwelling and Opalescence was once a million-two weeks. No harm so long as accurately performed however sensitivity anticipated. Whitening lighting additionally paintings however are a lot more luxurious, if you do not brain the doing it at dwelling you could get monetary savings. PS whitening lighting most likely imply extra sensitivity (all of this does leave ultimately)

I never had my teeth professionally whitened, but I do use whitening toothpaste and the whitening strips which work very well, my teeth are very white. I also like the mouthrinse by listerine that whitens your teeth, that seems to work very well.

It works great but is expensive and I don't think ins. would cover any of it since it's not a medical urgency. I've forgotten the cost $300 to $500 I believe. You must stop most all colored drinks or its a waste of time. Tea, coffee, dark colored drinks of any kind will restain your teeth.
