He's buying a ticket to fly out of visit me for a weekend. Have any of you done this before? I am very big on safety. He will be meeting my parents somewhere before we go out and he will be staying at a hotel during his visit. Do things like this ever turn out? What should we do while he is here? Should I take him out sightseeing? Any tips or advice? Thanks!

I have the similar experience that a ICQ friend across the country and visit me. We have chatted many months in the internet and we finally agree to meet in real. I trust him, so I let him to sleep in my place and spend a weekend with me.
I took him to sightseeing, disco, pubs, beaches and interests place around my area. He has lots of fun to experience my life and experience the culture.
We are still good friends until now and he wants to come for another visit.

Well I think sight seeing is a good idea. He must really think you are something special to fly out to see you. No one can tell you how things will turn out. Sometimes they turn out badly and sometimes good. Just make sure you have your cell phone with you at all times. Make sure you have your own mode of transport so if he tries anything stupid you can leave whenever you need to. Make sure you tell a family member or friend where you two are going. Other than that hope you have a good time and hopefully he turns out to be a great man. Good luck!

It is possible for things to work out. I am doing the same thing this month, except flying to the other end of the world. Make sure there is never a dull moment when you 2 are together. Go out sightseeing some, but even so sometimes the best things to do while with each other are the simplest things in life, such as watching a late night movie or making each other dinner.
