In my opinion, If you can get an LCD flat panel in the size you want then go for it. This is the best format. You may want to make sure it can input VGA and at least 720p component. If it has a Hi-def tuner this may also be a selling point. The flat panels don't get as hot and their life is extended as a result. The only time a plasma is a better Idea is if You are looking for something 40" and above. The cost of LCD at those sizes are too outrageous. I recommend staying away from LCD projection because the small panels don't handle the heat from the lamps very long, and therefore DLP projection is the only choice. Sharp Aquos is my favoite brand, but no matter what you buy make sure that you get the extended warranty and make sue that there is a local shop in your area that accepts the warranty.

For a screen that small, LCD is probably the better choice. Plasma pixels tend to show up more on smaller screens.

with the 32" ...i'll go for lcd that doesn't have a burn-in effect.that's the advantage of it.i wouldn't spend extra $ for hd tuner coz even if u hav a hd tuner u'll still b using digital box.there r very few off air station hav hd broagcasting now.thus , u'll need the box.by the year 2008 , all of the station will broadcast in hd . then ur hd tuner in ur lcd will come in handy but u'll never noe wat will come out in 2008.
