Well, since President Bush is neither a Marine or a soldier, I'm not sure why you're equating criticism of President Bush with criticism of the soldiers and Marines.
I don't know a single person who isn't grateful for the job the men and women of our armed forces do for the American people. But the war is going badly, and the American people rightly blame the politicians, whose responsibility it is to guide the objectives of the conflict. And hopefully people will express themselves at the ballot box, and give these employees of ours some much needed performance feedback.
I realize it must be difficult to be fighting in an unpopular war whose premises are actively being questioned, and whose resolution is in so much doubt. I know, too, the stinging shame that the dishonorable actions of the criminal few in the ranks bring to the rest of the soldiers and Marines.
But do not doubt for a moment the unwavering support of the people for your service, no matter what they may think of the Commander-in-Chief.

Thank you Justin for your service to this country. I read your web page and you really seem to have a handle on life and what is truly important. I couldn't do what you've done but I honor you and every other soldier for doing what has to be done. I'm from a family of Marines. My Dad served in Korea and brother retired from the Corps after 25 years. I'm going to share your poem with my brother - he'll really dig it too. He's a vet of Desert Storm.
I love what you said about women - the things you've learned. Too bad most men I've known will never know what you do.
One more thing - your son is a handsome little man.
Peace to you!

Sorry guy. There are many many people here in the US that support you and what our troops are doing over there! But there are also a lot of people who's thoughts are so swayed by the national media that all they can think about it what's "wrong" with this country, when there are so many things that are right! My daughters brother is in the Marines and has already served 3 times in Afganastan and Iraq and we've heard the good that has come out of there! Don't worry about a few doom and gloomers, the ones who count love and support you!!

Don't know about everyone else, but I definitely appreciate what you guys/gals do! As American citizens, we should all support our troops whether we support presidential decisions or not! You guys have kept our country safe while risking your own lives and are owed much gratitude from all of us! Regardless of political believes or personal views on this or any other war, everyone should feel great pride and appreciation for what all of our troops do! Thank you and God bless you all!

They have forgotten what started it all man. Maybe because the towers are gone they forget real easy. The American public, in general, will always forget about things like that. They forget because we who aren't afraid to go and fight keep their lives safe and in order just like they are used to. Seems to me all they care about is how much they have to pay to fill their ******* gas tanks. **** it, we love America enough to give our best, they only love it as long as they can get what they want from it. At least we aren't treated as bad as the Vietnam era soldiers.

i love you and i appreciate everything that you gave for your country. youre a hero! do not forget that bush won a second term and the left thought all their screaming meant the country was on their side. so put to rest your fears that the whole country feels that way. it is not the majority, it is the loud few.
