I was going to make butterscotch oatmeal cookies and dont have baking soda but have baking powder could i use it recipe requires 1tsp baking soda thanks.

My aunt says the difference between them depends on where you live! Go ahead and add a pinch more salt. They might turn out a little cake-ier.

you can try, They're both rising agents...but I'm not sure what the substitute ratio would be. Using baking powder would definately be better than nothing at all!

If is is only a tsp I think you should be ok with the baking powder!

no trust me baking soda is different you need to use the rigt stuff
