It doesnt matter how little you've spent in the sun or in a tanning bed...one sunburn can give you skin cancer, even if you dont burn...I recently started having to run chemo iv bags up to the hospital and I honestly dont think i can do it anymore,i've told my boss i cant do it again....in the past 2 weeks I've run 5 bags of chemo iv's up to rooms with 1 and 2 year olds who have cancer, the past 3 have been skin cancer. I put sunscreen on my 4 yr old EVERYTIME we are even going to leave the house....it's very sad and a very real thing.

One sunburn can do it. Your body doesnt show skin damage we recieve now until years later in life. Theres no certain amount of sun that causes the cancer. Any damage to the skin from sun or radiation can cause skin cancer.

it really depends on what the uv rate is for the day. here is a great link for info on uv radiation and skin cancers. they have a chart too that you can follow for the type of weather forecast in your area.
