Here's a Voltaire quote for ya:
"God created man in His own image, and then man returned the favor."

First, if you don't believe that God created man, it will be hard to understand that man can not "make" religion. Also, you need to understand the term "religion".
Religion is "a human phenomenon that defies easy definition. It is commonly understood as a group of beliefs or attitudes concerning an object (real or imagined), person (real or imagined), or system of thought considered to be supernatural, sacred, divine or highest truth, and the moral codes, practices, values, institutions, and rituals associated with such belief or system of thought. It is sometimes used interchangeably with "faith" or "belief system"[1] In the course of the development of religion, it has taken many forms in various cultures and individuals."
So, if want to know if "all religion" is man made, you may not be asking the correct question. If you would educate yourself on the various world religions, you would see the vast belief systems that exist. Each is different in origin as well as way of life. although man has aided to the "creation" of some belief systems, some are inspired directly from God. The Bible was written by God's prophets, yet at the time God spoke directly to them. It may do you some good to look into the Bible, or other books so that you know just what it means to be "religious" - that is very vague. Basically speaking, God wrote the Bible, therefore God is the basis of Christianity. Other belief systems such as Hindu believe in many gods and do not believe in "god" as the creator. I think I got a bit off your question, sorry. But really, it's not an easy question.

Hi
The Jewish faith was intituted by God. The Christian faith in its begining was instatuted by God. through time both religions had changed from its founding and in prophesy it was told in both Jewish faith and in the Christian faith would deveate from the truth. When The Massiah came who was Jesus they killed him because they did not except Him because of their changes . Jesus told them that they made the scripture invalid by their traditions. If Jesus were to come back here in the flesh and preach the truth of the Bible the so called christians would kill Him this time. Constantine was the first Pope in about 200 AD and he stsrted the Catholic church. He let the pagans in also and made a blend of two worships. All other religions are off shoots from this corrupt one today.Jesus said that after His going away that wolves in sheeps clothing would enter the true christian congragation after He was gone and destroy it. I can show you many scripyures if you would like but time dose not allow. There is a people out there now who have the truth are sharing it with people of the earth. I'm not sure but I think the word religion is only used a few times in the Bible. If I remember right it has negative connotations in the context where it's used .The Bible does have different words that are used for different groups of people i.e.Christians,Jews.That's a good question.Blessings VIJ

Yes, it is.
But Christianity isn't a religion. It's God, coming down to earth to take up a human form and die for the sins of mankind.
It's God making possible the free gift of salvation to whosoever will receive it. God doing for us what we could not do for ourselves, so that one day we could share the glories of heaven with Him.
Joh 14:5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Hope you make the right decision my friend.

No. Most religions are man-made, but Christianity is from God.
Galatians 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
(Judaism came from God also, but it has passed away.
Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.)

It's just a human way of explaining thing that they don't understand, that gradually evolved into something deeper (a placebo for all of their miseries and pain). That's why even thou science can now explain the things that people didn't understand then, people still chose to keep their religions.

Yes, religion is all man made. This, however, does not deny he exsistance of God, it just states that man made a system for worshipping Him.

Jam 1:27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. .....so I guess you could say that no, religion is not man made but denominations are
