If you're curious, this happens because Gum Arabic found in mentos decreases the surface tension of water, which does not allow gasses to dissolve in it as well. As a result, the CO2 is released rather quickly. Interestingly, Diet Coke is often used because it isn't sticky- the sugar causes the Coke to stick.

Yeah, I just wander how they found this out. Did someone choke to death, drinking this while they had a mentos in their mouth and if so did they sue the makers of mentos or Dt. Coke.

I've seen it. The guys who did it were probably all soaked and sticky afterwards...yuck! But I agree, it's cool.
