Ive been through this a million times and have tried everything with no real results. Sevin dust seems to help the best, it's a plant pesticide, and I can tell you all the products from Hartz and Raid do is piss the fleas off, they swim in this stuff. If you want to get rid of this problem, use Advantage or Frontline flea products on your pet. The fleas in your carpet will soon die because it's your pet they feed on, maybe 2 weeks the problem will be gone

First, treat the dog and apply some kind of flea killer/repellant. Then close him in a flea-free room and apply a flea-killing powder to the carpet and furniture, let sit about 20 minutes, and vacuum. Keep vacuuming every day for at least two weeks in case new fleas hatch. Arm and Hammer has a great powder for killing fleas. But if you can't get that, use powdered laundry detergent or borax.
Good luck!

use the powders, flea treat your pets to prevent reinfesation, and vacuum EVERY DAY for a long time. Fleas can live in your carpet up to 2 years without a host.

Honestly, you are going to have to flea bomb the whole house, trust me, I've had the same problem and I had to bomb the house 3 times to get rid of them. When you do bomb, be sure to remove all people and animals, and you will have to re wash all of the dishes or things or toys that you, a child or a pet could possibly use or play with. Good luck.

you can first try vaccuming the carpet then give your dog a bath using flea shampoo...you can buy it at the pet store...he'll stop itching then those fleas won't be flying off of him. :)

You can call an exterminator or you could bomb your house a few times. Good luck cause it's hard to get rid of them.
