Get two large bowls and fill them with ice and water. Put your feet in one and use the other to wet cloths and wipe face, neck and arms.
There are places like courthouses or somewhere you can go to stay cool in hot weather.

take a cold shower or bath, fill baggie with ice cubes and a little water place on top of your head, put wet washcloth in freezer then wipe down your body. Go to someone else's house for awhile or to a cool mall,store or movie.

sounds like the freon gas is low , leeks,or has escaped.probably not worth fixing.,but to buy a new one this late in season might not be possible,especially a110v 12000btu.do you have window cross ventilation? would you be able to find 20in window exhaust fan. Do you have an Attic window exhaust fan.cool places might be the mall,movies,etc.damp clothes on face and body might help.

call a repair man and while waiting fill the bath tub up and put some bagged ice in the tub and just chill. but dont forget to get into the tub
