In self-debt, the person denies and deprives themselves of everything including not going to doctors and dentists, when needed, due to the money that has to be paid. Salsa, talk about it. I believe that every strong emotion comes from an event that happend in the past. Did you feel great pain in the past from lack of money. If that is the case your not alone. Not by a long shot. Find the root of the problem and attack that. As for an expedient, spend the money. Hell spend it. Your problem is like a saftey net that can keep you from going crazy and spending to much but take strength and spend cash on the necessities. As for getting help... I hope this answer helped.

Good question. I know people like that. My ex had the opposite. She couldn't stop buying stuff. Thank God she got a divorce-, I was too dumb to. My issue is severe dumb-ness. Any cure for that? You really need to start somewhere, in getting help. A minister, maybe? Thanks for asking--it gave me an idea about getting some help myself.. My poor brother has a panic attack if he has to spend 50 cents. The thing is ,he has tons o- money!( no wonder-, he neverspent any).

I'm sure there are places that will offer some free counseling. Maybe go to a church and talk to a pastor or see if there are free groups you can attend to.
