I love Francine Rivers for fiction and Paul Maier, Lee Strobel, and C.S. Lewis for non-fiction. Who do you suggest I read and why?

All these books and their other books helped me understand God's purpose in my life and how to accept it.

Anne Lamott and Madeline L'Engle specific, i understand they the two have written fiction, yet in addition they have written Christian non-fiction. Anne Lamott wrote "some techniques On faith" and "Plan B: further Reflections On faith." Madeline L'Engle's Christian books contain "The Genesis Triology," "strolling On Water," and a brilliant sort of others. What did Joyce Meyer write? i've got not examine any of her books.

Bodie & Brock Thoene, excellent historical fiction. Makes one think one is right there with the characters.
Frank Peretti ( not sure of the spelling ) and Dee Henderson are also very good to read.

Try Jesus the Christ - it's VERY deep, but VERY good. It takes a while to get through it, or at least it is taking a while for me to get through it because I have to stop and think about it.

Well, she's dead, and her books aren't all strictly christian, but its obvious when reading them that she was, but my favorite author is Taylor Caldwell. She's been gone a long time, but some of her books are classics. My faves are Ceremony of the Innocent, and Dialogues with the Devil.
