Well, if you mean in the microwave and I sure hope you don't, it depends on how strong your micro is. It also depends on how many you are nuking. For 2 potatoes in a 1000 watt micro probably about 10 minutes, depending on the size. Of course, you want to stop the micro half way during the cooking time and open it up and let the steam come out. You don't get a very good baked tater in the micro

Now, if you want the real McCoy bake them in the over. Again depends on how many you're doing but 4 or 5 in a 400 degree oven should take about half an hour depending on their size, 45 minutes tops! And whatever you do, DON'T WRAP THEM IN FOIL, all that does is steam them. Yuck!

Hasn't anyone ever told you that speed kills? Real baking of potatoes is so easy and requires almost no work. Preheat oven to 400. Drizzle your potatoes with olive oil and rub all over them. Sprinkle with some kosher salt and ground black pepper. Pop them into the oven for an hour. Sit down read a book, log on to Yahoo! Answers or cook the rest of your dinner while you wait for them. When done, now wrap in foil and let sit 5 minutes.

Good luck and good eating.

I use to work at a restaurant that served baked potatoes. Although it is not fast it is the best way to make good tasting baked potatoes. We use to roll the potato in aluminum foil then bake it at 550 degrees for an hour. Cooking a potato in the microwave is very quick, but does not taste as good as baking it in the oven. If your looking for quick cooking time and don't care about taste then cook it in the microwave for about 5 minutes after you poke holes in it. If you want it to taste good cook it in the oven.

5 mins in the microwave. Done. Stick it under the grill if you want the cheese to be lovely. Otherwise, back in the machine for 40 seconds.
