Do you know the cause of your pain? If not, ask your doctor. The daily pain and sleep deprivation is probably all connected. I know, I am going through the same thing. I know the cause of my pain, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. Those two problems also cause sleep problems. I have tried all the sleeping pills out there, nothing really helps. I just started taking something called 5-HTP. It was suggested by my chiropractor. It has something to do with l-tryptophan. Look it up on the web at www.5htp.com. You might also ask your doctor to give you the name of a place that does sleep studies and try that.

You need to see your gp for referral to a pain management clinic and be honest with them if the medication you are given does not work.once the pain is eased the sleep problem should reduce.
