I always have given props to guys w/ enough balls to ask a girl out. However, when it happens to me and I don't wanna go out w/ the guy, I just want the guy to GO FAR AWAY FROM ME
Is this being hypocritical?

No, just because you believe a guy should be brave enough to ask, doesn't mean he has to be the one you want to date.

No way is the being hypocritical. I mean good for the guy to get the balls to ask you but you don't want to date the guy just off of that. If your not attracted to the guy then why make him think you are by saying yes just because he had the balls to ask you?

I don't think that you are being hypocritcal because the first thing you need in a relationship with someone is attraction. If that isn't there when they ask you out then whats the point in going out with them.
And you can still give them props for having enough courage to ask you out without going out with them.

Your reaction to a guy asking you out who you don't want to go out with is WHY you give "props" to guys with enough balls to ask.

Yes. It's hypocritical.

Relax, say 'no thanks, I'm not interested' and respect the guy for having the balls to ask you out because he just faced rejection and lost without throwing a fit or being nasty to you.

It's all good.

well no and yes, i mean just because a guy asks a girl out doesnt mean that you have to say yes. they can still have the props, dont feel bad, its natural to feel akward and want to be on seperate sides of the world from someone who likes you and you dont feel the same.

It happens to everyone. I hate it tooooo........ It also makes you feel bad, but he will get over it and so will you. MOVE on. You are not being hypocritical, you just don't have the same feelings for him. No big deal, trust me you'll be able to get him away if your just honest. You might feel bad, but don't you want him to leave you alone? Good luck, and stay strong.

No, you admire guys with guts to ask a girl out but that doesn't mean you HAVE to go out with them. If every girl went out with every guy that asked them out, then it wouldn't take any guts at all.

Can't you think of a nicer way to turn down a request for a date? No wonder guys don't want to ask girls out.

"Uh, Mary Lou, would you like to go out to..."

"GET AWAY FROM ME! GO FAR AWAY FROM ME!"

"Uh, sure, Mary Lou. Gee, I'm sorry I upset..."

"GO FAR AWAY FROM ME!"

yes it is.and you are also hurting that guy feelings.it mught be because you are just embarassed and don't want people to be talking about you.maybe if you stop doing it to other people people will stop doing it to you and you won't feel that way.
