Distance is like a medicine for the emotions and the soul. I fled NYC when things did not work out with someone I loved. I could not stay because each edifice held memories; Central Park west, the Met, even the god damn pizza assaulted me treasonous recollections. Now I'm in a place where I can't run. I have to stay here for another year at least. I need to go but cannot, can anyone relate? What should I do? Honestly, Its fu*&^# killing me?

I hate it were I live. 23 years I have invested in this area. Now I have a grandchild and can't leave. I could move to a state next door, and may yet. The people all have their own groups. I call them gangs. If you didn't grow up here, go to school here and or belong to some kind of club, your out. I speak with some southern overtones boy do they hate that. Yes, I can relate. I wish I could go back south. I wish you the best. I found the area may be wonderful were you move but if the people ain't friendly it sucks....................
