I'm not sure I like the idea that our lives are predetermined somehow, and I hope that I have the option to change my life if i want to. Do you agree?

fate exists on certain levels, eg your parents will pre-determin the school you go to etc.

My fate was pretty much decided up to university age , which i didn't like and it depressed me so I changed it and made my life even worse. So parents talk to kids like they are young adults and give them a say in their life course.

I guess death is the only pre determined thing in life, so you can tempt fate and bring death closer, I suppose.

Fate according to Plato was where the purposes and designs of God are accomplished, Seneca speaking of God asked-"will you call Him Fate?" Cicero stated " All things come to pass according to the sovereignty of the eternal law"
So the ancients viewed fate as some force or divine being that did indeed control things. To those men it was obvious to them from their study of the things that are and the events that take place that something was in control. So yes there is a sort of fate and many call it the providence of God where by He rules His creation.

God controls your "fate"...but, I think having a sit destiny from the human point of view is wrong. It might be different from God's but for us, there is no fate...we don't know what will happen in our future and we cannot chose what will happen... Yet, it's not quite fate, either...hmmm, this a confusing answer to write because I'm not sure how to explain it... But, I can say one thing for sure that God is in control, not fate...and determined destinies are out of the question because of that.

No, because then we would have no control over what wedo in life, so we wouldnt be the ones to determine if we go to Heaven or Hell, so what would be the point of putting us on Earth? God could just send half of us to Hell and half to Heaven

We as humans have freewill. You do have a chance to change things. I get annoyed with people who say "I can't be better then I am because its pre-ordained" You can make choices, that is what it means to be human.
