Ok. You can start by getting off of the computer and ask them what they want to do. Get a ball, read a book, dance around.

I run a daycare and i found some fun, inexpensive ideas to keep the kids entertained.
* Paper towel rolls- let them color and decorated them, they could be telescopes, microphones or whatever they want.
* Put on some kid music- let them dance they will love it, you get in there too, its a great workout!
* Build a tent- find some old blankets, some pillow cushions and a couple of chairs, they will love it!
* Some old clothes, hats and handbags. Dress up is a great activity!
check out some daycare websites they have lots of great ideas!

You don't "keep" toddlers entertained, YOU entertain them. The first poster on this thread was dead on when she said to ASK them what they want to do. Also reading is a great activity, coloring (Yes YOU do it too) If you're getting paid to babysit then it is YOUR responsibility to be a part of the activities, not sitting in front of the computer or television or on the phone to your friends. Do your job

2 and 3 are great ages! Get them engaged in blocks, legos, etc and build city. Crayon and paper can also go a long way. Play outside if the weather is nice. A plain piece of paper and a $0.99 package of stickers will go a long way. So will clay or play dough.

My kids love to run through a sprinkler. I was cutting the grass and the area that I had finished cutting was perfect to turn on the sprinkler. They also blew bubbles and drew on the ground with chalk. We colored in coloring books and on paper. We put together puzzles. Play board games (2 year old nap time). Took a walk - wears them out for nap or bed time. Just use your imagination, let them lead the way. My brother-in-law watched the girls for me one day and he sat on the floor and built "castles" with blocks with the girls. They loved it.

Building stuff with wooden blocks, toy cars, etc.
Make a "tent" in the living room using a blanket or sheet and
the kids can pretend they are "camping out!"
Lots of fun for little kids!
