Why don't you go to the drugstore and get some Melatonin. It works great you can get about 90 caplets for about $8.00 or less. It is all natural and it is cheaper than going to the doctor and having a prescription for same thing. You will sleep through the night and not have any groggy after effects.
Or you can go to the sites below. Both have melatonin but one is called 'SleepSense' this works better if you really have problems.

in sleep there are two parts, your consciousness turns off and your eyes are shut. You relax turn off, sleep really well, gd. If you cant achieve this normal total sleeping state, you could try the next best thing, which is to just close your eyes and not open them - even though your mind is still awake - this is just giving a break to the eye-machinery - If you want to take it further, you could also turn off the brain memory - stop thinking about complicated issues using brain power - just relax and let your brain idle, this is a relaxed state pretty close to sleep. Eyes closed and brain in "floating" state - close to sleep and gd for resting your eyes.

take a hot bath and then turn on some free listening music. Heat up a cherry pit sac then put it around you neck and think of the most beautiful thing on the earth. Hope you can sleep better!

I know this guy who suffered from chronic insomnia and he finally had to go to the doctor because of it. The doctor told him to take some time, about 15 minutes, every day and face the sun. Of course, looking at the sun would blind you, but if you face the sun, it's supposed to make you sleepy. My friend said it worked a little for him.

Melantonin.

It's an herbal remedy that you can get over the counter at most grocery stores. Only take half of one until you know how it affects you.

I have been trying to figure this out myself. Someone told me that Tension TAmer Tea from Celestial Seasonings works for them. Someone else told me that melatonin (you get it in the vitamin and supplement section) works. One piece of dark chocolate does work for me.

Good luck!

Alcohol actually keeps you from getting deep sleep.

Don't eat anything for at least 5 hours before you go to sleep.

don't force yourself to sleep, if you can't go to sleep after a certain time, get up and do something. To try to sleep, put aside all of your days problems. Ask Giod to help you deel with them, and let them go. Do what ever you need to(including Mas..youknow* if you have to) to relax)
