Only God can determine who will and will not go to Heaven. All people of faith who live the Christ life can trust in the merciful bounty of our Lord Jesus Christ. The divisions, while painful, are not the personal fault of any living person.

All of you who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ! Division is clearly forbidden in the scriptures, but most people have no clue what the real arguments are about. The passage you may be referring to is 1 Corinthians 1:10-31. Or the passage in John's Gospel where Jesus prays to the Father to keep us one, or the wonderful One Body passages in Romans.

There is nothing there to condemn a Protestant to Hell, unless that Protestant seeks to further the division of Christianity. Even then, that Protestant is almost certainly acting in good faith or trying to.

If God is going to decide who will go to Hell, I have a big doubt it will be because the person prayed in the wrong building.

This sounds like a question from someone who was taught in the Catholic Church. There's a big difference between what the Bible says, and what the Catholic Church teaches.

The way to avoid being condemned to Hell is to accept Jesus' atoning death on the Cross. The Catholic Church has lots of rules and rituals that are meant to circumvent the Cross.

Jesus said "I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father except by Me".

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall have everlasting life".

According to John 3:16, all you have to do is believe in Jesus to go to Heaven, not follow the rituals of the Catholic Church.

Not all do. The very fundamental one do openly condemn people. Most protestant churches and Catholic churches do not condemn. Of course, they may come to find themselves judged very harshly as well, regardless of their salvation strickly on the basis of one prayer (mocking "a real and true life experience"). I don't consider either a safe practice. Paul speaks out about faith without works being dead, and Jesus speaks out about condemning people. Besides condemning people is not part of good works and there is nothing gentle about condemning so many people ancestors to hell. Is that the religion you are talking about. An angry God who doesn't forgive and gives all his truth to your church?

Hmmm, protestant is not the same as catholic...They're very different. Most Catholics believe in good works, praying to saints (or saints praying for them), and priest needing to intercede for them. Yet, protestant believe (are the ones I know) that it is by grace we are saved, that we don't need to ask saints to pray for us, and that Jesus intercedes for us. We no longer need a priest or anyone but Him to do it... We believe that the Bible is the truth, and that no other book is the Word of God (except the Torah, since some of the Bible comes from it). Not the Quran, nor the Gnostic Gospels, or any book, but the Good Book!

Protestants are not condemned to hell, they are already in hell. They are the damn gate keepers of hell. Robotic automatons of the devils creation. They have no souls, that's why they just repeat the same quotes from the Bible, and have no real thought of their own.

The protestants aren't condemned to Hell. You're a bit misinformed I'm afraid.

In the past, hundreds of protestants have been killed by christians. Not only that, they were burned by the whole of christians. People beleive in what they believe in, you can choose to believe something or not. Most religions are intolerant than others, I bet you will get alot of biased answers below.

Ah, another judgmental hypocrite! Imagine that! Don't you feel like a blashphemer? Jesus is the judge, not you. Where do you get off thinking you're Him? Do you think He'll ask you where you got the authority to do His job at judgment? I think the pot is in the process of calling the kettle black.

Who is it that believes this? Because it isn't the Catholic Church if that's what you are implying. The Catholic Church believes that the Protestants are just our separated bretheren and can very much be saved. They are indeed true Christians, just missinformed.

The only way to heaven is accepting Christ as your Savior, to believe that He loves you and will accept you just the way you are, if you put all trust in Him. Dont focus on denominations, focus on Jesus b/c He loves you, and wants to change your life. The Bïble says the Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
