Well, I became a vegetarian until I found out I couldn't eat meat!!! I would say someone who eats meat cos my son is cooking some T-bone steaks tonight but I might go eat some tree leaves for desert!!!

difficult to answer
from a morality or ethics point of view being a vegetarian is better
from a health or a biological efficiency point of view again being a vegetarian
however from a practical survival point of view a carnivore seems best
