Change your tire as soon as possible. The tire is damaged internally. The metal reinforcements inside the tire broke up creating the bump. You will notice a misalignment while driving.

No it is not safe to drive. That knot is where some of the belts have broke inside the tire and the structural integrity of the tire is not sound. It can very easily blow out.

Absolutely DO NOT drive until you change it. Put the spare tire on. Something has caused the tire to separate internally. Doubt if it can be repaired. A blow out that will happen. Don't kill yourself and other people. Seriously.

It's irregular tire wear and you could have a tire blow-out very easily, so no, it's not safe to drive and needs replacement.

bump as in bubble? that is definately a thing you want to replace especially if its on the front... in fact if it is on the front i would change it out with the spare or if you dont have a spare i would change it out with a rear tire to get you to the garage where you buy tires... whatever you do, Do not drive it if its on the front ... a front tire blowout could actually kill you and someone else

A minor 'distortion' on the sidewall is common and should pose no threat of blow-out, however, if the 'bump' is more of a bulge then you probably have sidewall damage/rupture and should have tire replaced TODAY.
