Why doesn't he just BUY dinner instead of chasing Roadrunner?

He had craving for tasty rascally Roadrunner, and you just can't get that in a restaurant or grocery store. Plus, I think it was personal.....

I guess you never saw the final episode. Wile E. Coyote ended up suing Acme Corporation, and now he owns the company.
Also, all the fun is in the chase...
