his public defender is saying that he most likely get 9-16 months and he has already served 6 and has yet to be arraigned. he has no prior record and the robbery was unarmed. he supposedly got away with 7 grand. i was just wondering how realistic is it for him to get 9-16 months considering this crime? it seems like too much of a lenient sentence for a crime like this. please answer if u have knowledge of this or your opinions are welcome..

sounds too lenient.

That is lenient. It's probably because he is a first time offender. He will probably be on probation for a long time and have to pay the money back. I hope he learned a lesson. This will cost him a good future because it will be on his record.

The authorities should save us the expense and let these people work off their sentences by doing labour, cleaning streets, picking up garbage, etc. Why should the people pay to have this guy put up in jail? Anyway you look at the current situation, we the taxpayers, lose.

It is not legal to hold him 6 months without an arraignment. Or you sure he hasn't been arraigned and is awaiting trial?

He will most likely get what he deserves. Find a better class of people to hang out with or you'll be tossing salad just like he is now.

The're a first time offender with no weapon I can see that, I'm sure they'll have a few years of probabtion to serve once they're out.
