i have a boxer, shes 11 years old i got her when she was 5 from a boxer rescue. just yesterday i got a baby bearded dragon, so weve been giving it a lot of attention and my dog is sad. how do i make her not sad and jealous?

Spend time with the dog. Don't give her less attention because you got a lizard...divide the time so she knows you sitll love her.

You need to give her attention too. She probably thinks you don't love her anymore because she is getting older. Buy her some toys to play with and play with her for awhile. Pet her and give her some hugs to let her know that you still care.

You need to give her attention, too. That is like a second child coming home from the hospital and the first child being ignored.

Let he be in the fun with the dragon but keep an eye on her. She needs to know that you still think the world of her!

When you go to the bearded dragon to visit it.. or to pet it.. bring your dog over close with you and when you pet the dragon, pet the dog and talk to the dog when you are with the dragon.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BUT INSTEAD I HAD A CAT! LOL SO I WOULD JUST PLAY WITH THEM HALF AND HALF LIKE 30 MINS EACH WORKS LIKE A CHARM AND IT HELPS IF UR BOXER IS NOT IN THE ROOM WIHLE U PLAY WITH UR DRAGON(THOSE R TOTALLY KOOL) SO HOPE I HELP AND TELL UR DOG I TOLD HIM TO CHEER UP! HE HAS A GOOD OWNER!!!!!!!!!! AND MY DOG SAYS HI LOL

You have to show your dog the same amount of attention....Include him in for play time with the other dog...

spend an afternoon with her with treats anda car ride and a walk and than later at night sleep with her.
