ok my 2 yr old nephew has this raised little blister looking thing on his finger. It also has pus and a little green in color too. I don't think it is a ringworm. I just saw some pics on the net and it looks nuttin like that. Do you have any clues on what it is?

Sounds like a pustule--a blister with pus in it--indicating an infection. You could try soaking it in warm Epsom salts and water for 20 minutes 4 times a day. This should bring it to a head so it will open and drain. If it doesn't get better in 3 days or so, take him to the doctor.

Sounds like a deep splinter that is infecting the finger. It only takes a tiny embedded piece to cause that.

Sounds like an infected bite or a splinter.

It doesn't matter what caused it originally. The fact is that it is infected and could result in a bacterial infection in his blood. Get him to a doctor ASAP. Don't play around with this and try to treat it yourselves.

I had something exactly like that years ag. i went to a doc and he told me it was a staph infection. He lanced it and squeezed the ick out of it, and gave me some antibiotics.
