Isn't it a good move militarily that we have troops and supply lines already in place on two sides of Iran and allies on the other two?

Troops in Iraq and Afganistan.
Allies in Turkey, UAE, Pakistan, Kuwait.
Allies may or may not send troops, but would likely allow use of airspace, harbors.

Here's the scary part...The liberals are the secret weapon in winning this...

As long as the IRANIANS believe what the "liberals" in America are saying about America...ie..."Cut and run"..."we can't win"..."Bush is incompetent"...the "US is worse than Hitler" etc...They will continue to "underestimate" our true power.

Our military head in Iraq even said yesterday that we are losing control in Baghdad...
Come into the spiders web, IRAN,...we are wating for you !!!

If anyone thinks this all happened overnight, they are not, or cannot see the big picture...that is also why Hezbollah is not concentrating their efforts only on the Israeli military...they are killing JEWS at random for Irans cause

I am 13 and have lots of knowledge in military tactics.
The U.S having 2 military forces near Iran does give a slight advantage but I don't think they will be used seeing that
Iraq is not going well. The American Government will most likely
send new troops. Iran is not as waek as the Iraqi military and have an impressive Airforce. But it may be usefull
with that fact that there are supplies and artillery near so if Iran tries some Airforce moce the Stealth planes can get to work.
But you are not aware that a larger group of allies surround
the U.S forces and that is Russia, China, Syria etc and
Russia and China have proved to act for Iran in any case
like that so the advantage would be destroyed and whats
left of the supplies would have to deal with smaller
extensions of Iran like Hezbollah and Hamas and Syria.
For a time it would be an advantage but later on it would not be such an advantage. If war with Iran was a reality the death
toll for the U.S soldeirs would be in the 10,s of thousands.
And evantually WW3 ould start meanin that we would see
tolls in the millions for America and Billions world wide.

I agree that it is a good time to have boots on the ground in and around Iran. I believe too, that a few contingency plans have been drawn up, in the event we need to use these troops, against Iran.

Iran, I'm sure, has a few ideas of their own, however it is hard to imagine that this is the same Iran who's @ss was kicked by Saddam. Could they have improved so much, that they're ready to take on the US?

Uh in case you have not noticed the US is bogged down on both sides and what allies are you imagining? Do you truly imagine hordes of Saudi Arabians battling their way into Tehran? Get real - - - Bush has weaken the US Military the only thing Bush has strengthen is our enemies resolve to harm US. Peace.

Of course it is! Given the volatility of the region and Iran in particular any preparation is a 'good move'. The real question is 'will the bumbling baffoons in the White House be able to utilize this foresight to our advantage?'

Who are these two mysterious allies? And makes you think they will be willing to go to war with Iran? Or even that the US is capable at the current moment to actually invade Iran?

Yes, unless you are a liberal who hates America and wants us out of everywhere because you loathe the military. Iran doesn't even realize that they are surrounded already!

It helps alot. If we ever do take action. We are beter placed to do it. Otherwise we would be forced to do long air missions from the Indian Ocean.
