When the conflict between Israel and Lebanon began, I knew Israel would end up killing far more people in Lebanon than Hezbollah would in Israel.

Right now it appears that besides killing plenty of civilians and even UN workers, Israel is trying to back out of the conflict as quickly as possible because they see they aren't going to win without resorting to tactical nukes - at least, not when everything they do is watched closely by the internet/media rich world.

What do you think is the more significant diffeference in war tactics between Israel and Hezbollah?

I think that because Israel is being monitored by world opinion, they are hindered by being forced to use tactical weapons,
wherin, Hezbollah doesn't care who they hit and launches rockets blindly.

To quote Sam Kinison....
"The Arabs launch a rocket out their backyards and then run inside the house, and turn on CNN to find out where it landed !"

hahahaha... wow, this situation depresses and angers me immensely, but that quote is SO funny.

yes, israel is (rightly) being watched by the world. they are in a delicate situation that impacts many nations beyond their little fence (like the US and much of europe), and so they have to take our interests into consideration if they want our continued support. hezbollah are guerrillas, so they don't answer to anyone. in fact, by working as guerrilla terrorists, they do the dirty work for iran and syria. hezbollah's supporters WANT them to be terrorists.

an additional problem is that hezbollah wants to hit israeli civilians. that's their goal and it's easy enough to do even with bad aim. israelis are trying to find rogue individuals wandering around among civilians, and if they hit a civilian in the process, they lose support from their backers throughout the world.

they are in a crappy situation. maybe they should just leave the area altogether.

I'm not really sure what your question is, although I love Sam Kinison's quote that you included....

From my perspective, the difference is that Israel has a clear goal in mind, yet I'm not sure Hezbollah does. Israel is strategically taking out roads and bridges to prevent future transport of weapons into Lebanon. They want to completely disarm Hezbollah. On the other hand, Hezbollah is just shooting rockets into Israel hitting random locations. As long as it hits SOMETHING, they're pleased. What's the point?

Israel is no stranger to warfare. It isn't like they didn't know that the world would be watching, and the thing is, they don't care what others think. They're sick of the s.h.i.t.

I think that if we had a media 'black-out' or at least a 'brown-out' the whole war would resolve quicker. There are too many people doing things while looking over their shoulder to make sure their actions won't be twisted by the media and in-turn put them in prison or get them killed. All the second and triple guessing why or how to do something is taking too much of our precious time. Our soldiers as well as Israel's need to be allowed to do the job they have been trained for without public scrutiny. Its a fact that innocents will die but sadly having a few die now are better than masses of innocent deaths that will accumulate as time drags on because the Armies fighting aren't allowed to do their job to their fullest potential.

Israel needs to whoop the living **** out of Hezbollah. These people show up, destroy everything with total disregard, then hide behind the media as if they are being victimized. The world looks down on Israel as the side who should know better and condescend to Hezbollah as if they are the side who is still too young to understand. Well, its time for them to learn.

Technically, the ingredient that began this exchange into some thing that surpassed off final Wednesday. Hezbollah snuck around the Israel border, attacked a protection tension post, and abducted 2 squaddies. they like to commerce those squaddies to loose a number of their human beings in penal complex. Israel reported they won't do a commerce deal. they do no longer decide for to start a vogue of squaddies getting abducted. so as that they are going after Hezbollah to get them to vanish.

The Arab fighters should notice that when they attack Israel, more of them are always killed than Israelis. Their approach does not make sense.

hezballah has little money and fewer men so they have to resort to using katushah rockets

Israel can just chase cars in the jets the U.S gives to them
and bomb families trying to escape

You're absolutely right! We should have left Saddam and his sons alone. So what if they were torturing and murdering at will?
