have you ever tried the south beach diet?
I end of February and lost 50 pounds in about 4 months. It takes work, but if you are committed you can do it.

For me A South Beach Diet and walking helped me to loose tons of weight.
As for what will work for you??? Well the one that you will stick to and the exercise you like doing. You gotta do both.
Oh yea and trying to take a diet pill with out dieting and exercise just don't work. Believe me I tried them all.
