Not that it's a law or anything, but I know many parents that enforce that rule over their kids. Do you agre with it, or should the decision be up to the teens? (I personally think 15 is the earliest a teen should consider dating, but 16 is more ideal)

I'm not a parent but I agree with the 16 or 18 ideal. Because lots of kids are dating now days and they are doing way too much sex stuff than when my friends and I would go out. I mean the traditional good night kiss has turned into a good night ********. I mean that is not in what these young kids need to be doing. And the rise on drinking has totaly gone up too on these dates. I mean peer pressure can't not be that bad. So a most definite on 18 as a dating age, because if you old enough to do such things as I've mentioned then you should be able to take responsibility for them as well.

I would say that it's probably better to start dating while still living under your parents' roof. That way, they can monitor the situation and make sure that your relationships are safe and healthy. I think that dating for the first time when you're out of the house and don't have anyone to enforce the rules or check up on you could be kind of dangerous for some people.
