if only 2 people started our race, wouldn't there have been alot of incest, thus resulting in endogamy? I mean, who else would they reproduce with if they and their descendants were the only ones

please don't try to tell me thet religion is illogic.....I'm not religious, don't tell me things I already know

I find it funny that you will have a lot of people try and use science to confirm what is scientifically impossible. They say stupid crap like they were perfect and so the genes would have had no problem. Animals even have trouble reproducing from their siblings. It's just the way it is, but so many don't want to see it.

Incest is only bad because the result is babies that are deformed. The Bible didn't forbid immediate family members from marrying each other until over a thousand years after Adam and Eve.

This is because when two people with the same genetic mutations have a baby, the mutation results in a birth defect, and brothers and sisters, first cousins all have about the same genes.

But this is a result of hundreds of generations. The first generation had no mutations, so there would be no problem with it.

In the book of Genesis, when it talks about the birth of Cain and Able, the Hebrew texts have marks next to the names. These marks denote how many girls were born at the same time. Women at the time that Genesis was writen were basically second class citizens, much like they still are in the middle east, therefore were not mentioned unless they did something extrordinary. Cain had one twin sister and Able had 2.

Yes, they did commit incest with their twins to have more children. But God had not established a law against it at that time. If you make a copy of an original, it looks like the original. But after making copies of copies, after a while the quality degrades. The DNA hadn't degraded very much for centuries, but eventually God had to stop the degredation before it got too bad.

Actually, if there HAD been biblical incest, that would explain A LOT.

Also, there have been instances where incest has worked the other way (in that the offspring turns out to be stronger because of the nature of the parents' relationship). This doesn't mean I'm a supporter of such a behavior, of course, but I'm just saying that it doesn't always behave the way we think it does.

That is a good question. Every time I ask it, people always correct me and say we are all really descendants of Noah and his family (cause everyone else didn't survive the flood). But weren't Noah and his family descended from Adam and Eve? I don't really have an answer for you but I feel your frustration about this. It really makes NO sense at all!

Wow, where to start. It's not not considered incest because God told Adam and Eve in Genesis 1:28 to go forth and populate the earth. At the time. it wasn't considered incestous because it was agape love and there wasn't the chance there is today for birth defects.

The reason that incest is a genetic problem is because DNA mutations multiply over generations. If Adam and Eve had perfect DNA without mutations then there would be no problem with them breeding.

It's my understanding that yes, beginning with Adam and Eve everyone slept with everyone to populate. Later, in Leviticus, God laid down many rules for humankind, and incest was made to be against the law. Reading thru the book of Leviticus, it's really interesting, it turns out that people were doing everything! They had to even be told to not sleep with animals sexually. So yes, I'd have to agree with you.

yes, the law of incest was only intoruduced in the book of leviticus. Before then, you could screw whoever you wanted.
There is proof, according to the creation theory, that the first popel on the earth were incredibly intelligent popel. there is even proof that the egyptians used electricty centuries ago! And as we know, people who are a product of incst, lose much of their brain power, so I believe, humans as a race, have in fact become stupider. (the proof is in the world around us!)
