Interesting. Your use of the Fictional Character, Mary Poppins was obviously at point of perspective (POP). SO lets use that POP, if you will to prove that Mary Poppins is what? That MP is real? Of course not, since we have the witness of the author who declares in the preface to his book, that this character is fictional, made up.
Ok, now lets use POP for proving God. Some persons will use the term, "Faith", which is legitimate to a degree since there is a problem with the New Testament, being so contradictory in the various gospel narratives.
On the other hand, POP from the narrative of the Hebrew Bible, TORAH is really a difficult issue. According to the Orthodox Jewish Sages, the Torah account of the Exodus, the plagues of destruction in Egypt, and the consequent National Revelation of GOD to the Israelite people.
What makes this POP so pertinent, is that it was not a single person revelation. The Torah account says that 600,000 men, plus a like number of women and three to four times that number of children were all there at the foot of the Mount Sinai when GOD spoke through Fire and the people heard and saw that GOD was indeed speaking to them. Now what makes this so unique is that now, after 3051 years, the Jews still stand by that account, and that what GOD directed Moses to write, was witnessed by that initial million plus persons. A Million witnesses that agreed. That is amazing in itself, because its well known that two Jews seldom can agree about any thing nominal, but here, about something that is so immense that it virtually staggers the imagination, these Jews live and die to defend that revelation back on Mt Sinai.
There had never been previous nor since, a National Revelation by which GOD spoke to any large number of people, although certainly many individuals have made that claim but all those so called theophanies can be pretty much rejected as self delusional attempts to gain some holy status whereby that individual might gain some control over those who are willing to go on Faith.
The matter of matter, as a self evident demonstration that is GOD's own proof of BEING. All that we see, all that is existential, is the proof of Creation. Try it some time if you doubt me. Create something.....anything. THis PC, for instance, has a creator. You use it. THe world as we live in it, has GOD as creator, we use it. EVerything has its creator, and consequently is available for use. GOD so chooses to create us and gives us the world we live in to use to fulfil a wonderful purpose of love. Nevermind the wickedness and evil, it has a purpose and we can overcome it. That will be our victory. Part TWO: Resurrection. Torah instructions for entering life, Part Two. Ight, here we go. My proof that there is a God is look around. You think the satrs and the universe, the heart pounding in your chest, and and the trees outside just came to be from nothing? There is an all-powerful being that thought all this up and designed it all. The BOOK is just his words to us. Written by people from doctors to fishermen, over thousands of years, an yet never contradicting one time? Uncomparable to Mary Poppins. Go readn the first half of that book. there are over EIGHT HUNDRED prophesies written about Jesushundreds of years before he was around.

But thats just the book. If you need evidence there is God, just go stare at the stars for a while. And what type of God would he be if he didnt send some sort of communication with his creation...AKA "The Book"

The Bible is not a fictitious book. Mary Poppins is a fictitious book. The author is written on the spine and it's in the fiction section for kids. The Bible is not in the fiction section. The last time I was at a facility, such as a hospital, a hotel, and whatever else, they didn't have a copy of Mary Poppins anywhere in sight. They did however have a Bible.

It's curious how the Bible is the ONLY book that has to prove itself. All other literary works, such as those of, say, Plato, are accepted to have actually been written by Plato, and it's up to us to disprove it. Not so the Bible. for some odd reason, we are expected to prove it's reliability. But, of course, any self- respecting Atheist will have read the Bible, and of course done all the research to disprove the claims of the Bible. They certainly wouldn't just be Atheists on, well, faith...would they? That would almost be as silly as Christians who don't know why they believe what they believe. And there have been some famous Atheists who actually set out to prove the Bible wrong. People like Josh McDowell, Lee Strobel, C.S. Lewis....oh, wait. They became Christians as a result. Hmmm.....

What else can explain this life? Evolution is definitely wrong with all of it's missing links, and that it goes against it's self. Natural Selection is where the world is supposed to get better, in my eyes it seems to get a lot worse. Dating rocks by the geologic column, but then dating the geologic column by rocks!? Saying the earth is 4.5 billion years old, but scientifically it can only have been here at the most 10,000 years. They say it takes millions of years for a fossil to form, but then they say it takes more than a quick burial to form a fossil. And what about all those index fossils that they date things with, but they recently they have been finding these animals that should have been extinct millions of years ago. They say that this earth only started with a tiny cell, but cells themselves are so detailed. Scientists say the only ways that this earth could be is by evolution or by supernatural powers. And as I have just shown you that evolution isn't reliable, so I chose the supernatural powers. Wouldn't you!? The only way to explain what you see around you is by a living God.

From no man you were created. So therefore their is a higher being than yourself. I believe that there is a God, many people have many different names they call Him. But he is real. If you believe in the " Big Bang" theory explain where the force came from that caused such an explosion. behind every source their is a force.
