the place is somewhat crowded and people are standing and drinking. You're at a table, and somebody discards their empty glass at your table. Do you find that insulting?

well, that's interesting, empea. I mean, I've bee3n going to places like that for almost 20 years, and I've ALWAYS managed to find a place to lose my empty glass - and it never was at an occupied table.

I guess I was just raised to be considerate.

Yes I would find that very insulting. Unfortunately rude behavior prevails in today's society. Good manners grab my attention...it is such a pleasure to witness decency.

Not at all - how on earth can that be insulting? Sometimes there's just nowhere else to put it, because you can't get to the bar. It's not 'your' table, after all, a bar is a free space.

Yes it's very disrespectful and rude. I would immediately take the glass and hand it back to them and say "here you need to put this somewhere else where people aren't sitting" . If they refuse just wait until they sit somewhere then plop it down.

yea. i would but. i would just not take it seriously, justwalk up to the person and take their hand and put the empty glass in it. or just set it on an unoccupied table.

Yes it's rude. It's no different then someone blowing their nose and putting their used tissue on your table.

It annoys me to no end. I think it's really rude, unless they ask first. Then it's mildly irritating.

Unless it was Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen. He could do whatever he wanted with his glass. ::drools::

Yes, of course. I'd proceed as suggested in your avatar.

Yes it is rude. But then I am just a grumpy, mean-spirited, old wanker.
