I can't imagine that without any schooling that you will be able to make a whole lot of money in childcare. As a general rule, childcare positions do not pay a whole lot anywhere. Unfortunately, this profession is not looked on as the extremely important job that it is. In any case, in order to make top money in the field of early care and education, you need to take some classes. I'm not sure about WV, but in CA where I live, you can't even get a job working with children unless you have 6 units of college classes. Most centers out here won't hire you unless you have 12 units. I do know that the standards are not quite as high in other states... in some states all you need in order to work with children is the ability to read and write. In others you need to have a high school diploma. You need to check out the requirements in your state, either by going to the Department of Education website for your state or by simply calling a few centers and asking what they require of applicants for a position at their center.
