The early warning signs of dehydration (mild dehydration) are:
Raging thirst
Dry mouth, lips, tongue and sticky saliva
infrequent urination and in small quantities.
Your urine may also be dark yellow in colour..
You become dehydrated when your body loses too much water either through illnesses such as severe or prolonged attacks of diarrhoea and vomiting, high fevers, or sweating during exercise or in hot weather. Babies, small children and older people are at greater risk of becoming dehydrated and it can be particularly dangerous for them.
Severe Dehydration
You have sunken eyes, dry eyes ie no tears, a dry mouth and tongue..

Here you go:
Dehydration occurs when your body loses too much fluid. This can happen when you stop drinking water or lose large amounts of fluid through diarrhea, vomiting, sweating, or exercise. Not drinking enough fluids can cause muscle cramps. You may feel faint. Usually your body can reabsorb fluid from your blood and other body tissues. But by the time you become severely dehydrated, you no longer have enough fluid in your body to get blood to your organs, and you may go into shock, which is a life-threatening condition.

excessive body temperature, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, muscle cramps, confusion, if you are doing an activity that you would usually sweat doing and suddenly stop sweating could be another indicator, death, really dark yellow pee, thirst (usually by the time you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated). On another note, drinking to much water in a day can also kill you. don't drink more than about 12 quarts in a day, and eat.

If you feel thirsty, that is one of the first symptoms. Your body is telling you it needs fluids, nothing serious.
You may find that you start to go into a cold sweat, headache, stop sweating. Later you may feel faint, nauseous. by then its getting serious.
There are other symptoms but the last one is death.
