I started my period on July 10th last month, and ovualted approximately the 23rd. My husband and I had intercourse July 16th - July 26th. I am due t have my period on Aug 7th. I had some bleeding a few days ago that I hear an be implantation bleeding... and I just couldn't wait to take a test... I tested today with an ept test and it said positive, however one line was lighter than the other one. Does this mean positive or did the test just work wrong? I have no symptoms of pregnancy at all, and it's still too early to see if I missed my period... I have an appointment with my OB/Gyn on the 15th of August. Just want to hear some opinions about this test. Thanks.

Ok, I went out and bought a First Response test (the one with either 1 line or 2, rather the + or - like I had) and once again, positive result. + on the EPT and 2 lines on the First Response. =D

Alright, I had one more test, and took it early this morning to be sure... and yes, I am pregnant. Calling the doctor tomorrow morning to come in earlier than the 15th.

Yes I would say that you are. I had a similar thing happen when I became pregnant with my second child. It is way too early for symptoms. in about 2 weeks you should start to feel some things happening. it really depends on the woman as for the severity of the symptoms. but breast tenderness, fatigue, and that feeling that you get just before you get the flu. Light headedness and such. all is normal. good luck and Congrats!

CONGRATS!! A line is a line--even if it is faint. If you call the 1-800 number to ask---they will tell you the same. I am actually pretty sure it will say that in their FAQS section---if not on the box---look online at their website.
Check this out: http://www.ovulation-calculator.com/pregnancy-tests/how-early-can-I-test.htm
This happened to me on my second and last pregnancy. With my second pregnancy---exactly like what happened to you. I just waited and bought another test at different store---(thinking the test i took may have been old) and took it the next morning---definitely pos. Then with my last pgcy---I took 4 tests. The first two tests were that kind of test that made a plus sign. There was only one line---no plus sign. Upon further investigation---the line that should read the pregnancy hormone showed up. Hence PG. To confirm--I took 2 more--side by side lines. And there were clear.
Happy 9 months to you!!
Take another test. Buy a different brand. Even better---GO BUY THE TEST THAT SAYS---PREGNANT or NOT PREGNANT.

You are right you must ovulate the 23rd or 24 of July if your next menses will be on Aug. 7th. If all of that is true! you are 99% pregnant. Spotting during the first 2 weeks of pregnancy is normal. EPT test is either (+) or (-). Try a second EPT test and see with early morning urine. Congratulations!! Start looking to having a healthy live and a healthy baby!!

There is no need to waist more money on more tests. If there is a line no matter how light it is and it is within the time frame the test gives you, then you are pregnant!!! Congrats.!!!! I have had 5 pregnancies same thing EVERY time. You will soon start to "feel" pregnant, so don't rush that part of the pregnancy. Every pregnancy is different as to when the symptoms start and you are having an early pregnancy sign - implantation bleeding!!! I wish you all the best of luck and very happy, healthy baby.

yes I have had 2 pregnancys and on both of them the lines were faint I took 2 test with the 1st one both were faint and 2 tests with the second one and lines were faint. I was definatly pregnany. False positives are very very rare! so you probably are as long as you did the test right and followed all the directions on it.

Then, you are pregnant. The lines only come out when they detect HCG in your urine. This is a hormone that is only present when pregnant or taking shots for infertility. Good luck! Call the doctor and ask to come in before the 15th.

Use the E.P.T test, but the one that actually shows "PREGNANT", or "NOT PREGNANT" in clear, bold, black lettes, no silly lines...that one is very very very accurate. Thats' what I took when I found out I was pregnant...and then, 2 days later after finding out, the symptons kicked in with full rapid force...they are sneaky.
