it smmells good, but slighly offensive at the same time, and the bugs are not attracted to it at all( i keep it outside in a shed) what is going on and should i just give up?

Wine takes a good long while to ferment, unlike beer. If you've had it out there for a while and it hasn't improved then you probably need to review the steps you took to make it and possible look at different recipes.

Wouldnt hurt to wait a bit longer and if it still seems offensive then I would give up. Good Luck!

"Slightly offensive" is not a characteristic of a good wine. Wine is tough to make, you might be better off giving up.
