God is not hard of hearing or Jesus either, don't be repetitious, He will answer in his own time according to your Faith, Ask and believe it will be done.

You should pray until you receive your answer. Sometimes people pray for a few minutes and expect God to just get to it. Keep in mind, sometimes the answer to your prayer is no and it takes people a long time to hear the word no. God also works in his own way and in his own time, so don't ever give up until you get an answer.
Fasting isn't generally used in prayer as much as it is used in pennance.

If you can't hear, you are not listening. You must believe you are going to be answered. Sometimes the answer is seen or felt or even tasted. Be open, God talks to you every day in so many ways. Prayer and fasting is not necessary, although being quiet does help. Meditation also helps. Try affirmative prayer. Life is good, Life is God.

Oh its all soooooooo boring. The answers are within YOU! Trouble is most people are too scared to admit them so they cling into something else to comfort them so they can procrastinate.
Prayer is positive thought and thoughts are energy, fasting is method of discipline and self cleansing.
So pray to yourself and hear your own answers and feel your own strength and as for the fasting it up to you - I doubt it will have much bearing upon the immediate need for your answer. God will not come and reward you because you starved yourself.

I find that praying and fasting is best done overnight. That way you don't waste any time during the day, while you should be getting on with your life. the results will be the same. WOrk hard and you will reap the rewards, God is too busy organising all the wars.

I watch the movie Dogma the other day and it said that God's voice is so strong that if a human ear was to hear God's voice their head would explode. So don't pray too long. And pray he sends a messenger so your head does not explode.

a man who told me he believed that God wanted him dead, fasted and stayed in his room for three months! It was utterly awful! he became a skeleton with skin, you could see every bone and he turned yellow! He claimed he had evil in him and had to overcome this by fasting, to save him self from death, If God would allow it. He repeated many times that he has to just let himself go.and he would faint and nothing would happen. Well after 2 months he jumped out the 2 story window on his head and lived, actually nothing was wrong. It was a miracle! Wpw didnt that prove him wrong.... see he would not listen to any one and was pig headed about it , he was very wrong. But now he is in the wakky loonybin hospital ward, and he is acting like a crazy one from one flew over the cukoos nest. So I was diskusted with him and rebuked him. He snapped out of it.
But it was freaky!!
Dont do it for more than a few days and beleive me it will be a sacrifice and He will see it.also try fasting from tv or computer or other things your flesh like.

it sounds you want an answer on your terms, if that is the case are we being selfish.
maybe god has answered you, maybe you are not ready to receive his answer, (or willing to),
so many of us treat praying as a comodity to be trated as something you cay buy or sell!
they say (or it is written) that itis better to give than to receive, so maybe what you seek should come from within
when we ask "how long" then how long is a piece of string? we know what it is and where it is then surely the same could be said about your question "we know the question and the form of the question and who itis aimed at ....but the answer?????????????????"

God hears your prayers!!! Nobody knows when he will answer them or if he will answer them. God might also answer your prayer but not the way you wanted it answered.
Example: When my Grandpa was Sick i prayed that God would save him and heal him from his pain. My prayer was answered when my grandpa left us and went to Heaven to have eternal life FREE OF PAIN!
Of course that wasn't the easiest way for me to have my prayer answered but our awesome almighty worthy God did answer it didn't he!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also fasting doesnt get God to anwer prayers any faster. Fasting is a method of getting closer to God just like going to church, praying, or reading His word.

until the right time comes .God's timing isn't our timing and i say that pray and fast with a lot of patience .He is very patient Himself. He'll answer u when the optune time comes; for the Bible says in Is:55:8 that His ways aren't our ways and His thoughts aren't our thoughts. So please ,pray and fast as patiently as possible for no one knows the right time God answers but He does answer.Don't lose heart.

God will answer in His time. You may not hear the answer for quite some time, so start eating.
