Take your entire family on a road trip to Oregon, and get the group discount for euthanization. Those horrid genes need to die with you.

This is very serious. Your mom needs to get cognitive testing and go on medication immediately. Don't mess around and wait for her to get really bad. The medicine only slows down the progress, doesn't stop it. It's heartbreaking beyond belief to watch a parent descend into the fog of AD. It's not anything to joke about.

Just that when they are going into the disease it is the worst time. Then they get mad because they know they are losing it and they my grandma got really angry and threw things and anxious and now she is at peace because she is oblivious.
It is a horrible process. I would say to educate yourself on how to deal with it and her. It is so stressful. My mom and I kept trying to re-orient my grandma after her 3rd husband died and she kept grieving. We asked for help from social workers on how to relate to her but they would not. We asked for an assesment for her, but they did not want to they thought we were trying to decare her incompetent. They would not help us and we saw her go downhill. The techs were more helpful at explaining the disease to us and how to relate to her than any liscenced professionals. We really should have gone to support groups and read in retrospect. We had to fight the nurses to get her needed medication for comfort and hold medication for behavior.
As for dieing like another poster said not always my grandmother is 91 and has had this diesease for 21 years at least so not always do people die.

Why do you think your Mom has Alzheimer's?
It may be a memory problem, but if she is showing personality changes, or serious mental disorganization, there may be a more serious problem. I recommend asking your doctor for advice. If your Mom does have Alzheimer's you will probably find yourself needing support at some point.

Yes. I know someone who is going through the exact same thing but with his grandfather. As sad as this sounds, you need to send her to a nursing home where they can take care of her 24/7. It is hard to do, but necessary because it will only get worse and become more of a burden on everyone involved.

just do constant things to help her remember a serious trip to a office store for sticky notes might be handy, if you catch my drift.
