Ok I am 23 and he is 18 and still attends high school!! I work both at a fast food resturant (as a manager) and at the High School (as an educational assistant). He apparently is nervous and wants to ask me out I think he is sweet and all but way too young for me and plus I am already kind of seeing someone. I don't want to crush him because he really is a great kid! I don't want this to effect our work relationship or how he will think of me. What would you do in this situation?

There really is no gentle way to tell him that you are not interested without some degree of hurt to him. That is why they call them crushes. The best way to tell him is sit him down straight. Tell him that you think he is a sweet guy and there would be a lovely woman out there who would be priviledged and honored to have him as a boyfriend. Then you tell him that you are already a lucky woman since you already have a boyfriend and also as his supervisor at work you could get into serious trouble dating someone who works under you.

Just explain to him like next time he comes to see you to propose going out, explain that he is a really sweet and great guy, but you really don't think that it would be appropriate if they dated, seeing as how he was still in school and you were already seeing someone else and a bit to old for him. And you can always jokingly add that you have heard some other girl around the school saying they had a crush on him, so why not ask her out, instead. Totally takes the bomb out of what you have already said about not wanting to date him.

Really age wont play a roll....Just tell him he a great person, DONT say kid, that will only lower him down, hes 18 any at 18 you are considered an adult. He's a great person and fun to work with, but your seeing someone and right now isn't the time...Hope that kinda helps

Honesty is the best policy......just tell him what you said in your question. No one seems to want to be honest with relationships and end up in a hurtful mess in the end.
