They are devoted friends, but they are dependent upon you. Decisions in your daily life must take them into consideration. Their feeding, watering, walking, medical care, and grooming—as well as your trips and time away from home—must be taken into consideration. It's like having another child. Having a dog and raising it correctly might be a good prerequisite for having a child.

There must have been a reason you wanted the dog in the first place? Unless the dog was in poor health when you got it, how much could you have spent on it? Try focusing on the reason you wanted the dog to begin with. If you can't or don't want to continue to be a dog owner - give the dog a chance at finding him a home where he will be loved, not regretted.

Would you give up a child?
sorry no refunds an no returns., non disposable
What the hell is wrong with you?, Realy are you
mental?
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed,
I'd like to open my baggage, lest I forget,
There is so much to carry,
So much to regret.
Hmmm...Yes, there it is, right on top,
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my perch hides Fear and Shame,
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave,
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I love them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things,
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage, to never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage,
Will you still want me?
Your a real great person jus think of
yourself more an everything will be fine.

Before getting a dog or any pet for that matter a person should really do their homework regarding general care, cost of food, routine vet care, items needed such as leashes, food dishes, training, etc.Far too many peopel get a dog on a whim without thoroughly thinking it through and then they end up overwhelmed.
A well trained, well socialized dog is a great companion. They love unconditionally. They are great listeners.

Any pet who is cared for properly is expensive. You have to decide what your priorites are. To me, the unconditional love and devotion is worth it all, but if you don't feel that way, maybe you should seek out a home for your dog where she/he will receive BACK the love they give so willingly.

if you have any doubts in your mind, dont do it. Its mean to keep a pet you cant afford or dont want to care for. Just mean.
