Start with adjusting the idle and replacing the fuel filter. New plug wires, dist cap, rotor and plugs.

Check all vacuum lines for being on and not cracked.

You might have to clean out your EGR valve and passage.

And the carburetor, you don't even want to know how much a rebuilt costs. You can kit it if your very handy. If you do any intense work on
it, you should have a shop manual.

Also, it might be a CPU.

Clear the Carbs, ensuring you have a good flow of fuel, at the correct mixture.

Then adjust the idle speed to suit.

You may have a small piece of debris in the carb, a sticking needle, or valve, or a gummy build up of fuel deposits.

Get a Haynes type manual before you strip the carb, and a Carburetor kit with all the replaceable parts before stripping it down.

Idling too low, any strain (a/c, alternator/ fan) will cause the engine to die when it comes on and adds extra draw on engine power. I would take it to Nissan and have them diagnose the idle problem.

Good Luck

It could be a clogged fuel filter or the fuel line in general ... it sounds like the fuel is being restricted to the point the engine can't run.
