I want to be a doctor too!! ^-^ well, I read in this online thing that for doctors you have to study biology, chemistry, and physics in high school and A LOT of math and in college you need a degree in Science, Math, and English. What I'm doing is to take all my science and math classes as APs and if there are any other classes that have to do with humans and all, take em'. also, during the summer go to nursing school. I couldn't do it this summer but I will next summer ^-^ that would really help. also, like the guy before me said, get into activities that have to do with little kids. also study anatomy or anything medical-based in any of your space time. =) good luck to both of us!!!

College prep courses -- these are the courses you'd need to get into college.
For your electives, take science courses such as Biology, Chemistry, Physiology.

There might be clubs at your school which would be relevant. If there aren't, see if there's something like "Teachers of Tomorrow." Generally, you want to show an interest in working with children.

Good luck with your career choice.

Well total, the course to grow to be a pediatrician is elaborate however really instantly-ahead. Study rough in top tuition and take as many AP categories as you'll be able to, notably in chemistry and technology. When you get to school important in pre-med in case your school has it; if no longer important is a technology comparable to biology. Make definite you speak with you school counselor so you're taking the right categories for you important and for med tuition. Finally follow to med tuition. You'll have got to get a normal scientific schooling in med tuition, however you'll be able to start concentrating on pediatrics, notably so for your residency. Good success.

All the science classes you can get your hands on, that will prepare you for 4 years of college. And that will prepare you for 4 years of medical school, which will prepare you for 2 years of residency, which will finally allow you to go out in the world and push pills like all the other doctors do. hehe

MATH... and more math.

Chemistry, English... and if you are lucky enough to have it... early childhood education.

Spanish would be a good idea so that you can be bilingual.
